Well, me and Jason just tested for testing sake how the bikes would stack up.
1997 YZF1000R, 100% stock, 175lb rider
2002 R6, Full header, pipes. 1 tooth down in the front, 2 up in the rear. ( not sure how much Jason weighs, 200? 300? 400?
From about a 10mph roll up to about 100-115.
We both started at the same time, R6 was having trouble keeping the front end on the ground. By the time I hit second ( 70-80mph) I think I was 1 or 2 bike lengths ahead. He will have to chime in when we both let off since I couldn't see behind me.
Fun race! And the R6 kept up pretty darn good. _________________ 89 Hatch 408W. It's just a street car.

Even though I lost it was a lot of fun! I stayed right with you through first and second. By the time I was at the top of second you started to pull away pretty good. It was more fun keeping the front down than anything. I'm about 205lbs, I lay on the tank and it still creeps up. I don't think the front tire even touched the ground between 1st and 2nd gear. Its not like it was at 12 o'clock, just 1-2 feet off the ground. _________________ 1966 Mustang coupe
