As of right now, I am going with an all forged 347 in a roller block and TW heads. That should put me in the lower 300's to the tires. I am sure it will feel much stronger than it ever has. I will still have the spray on it for the strip. _________________ 1966 Mustang coupe

Sounds good man!
I think you will be happy with the stroker. So will you be able to keep the shortblock or do you have to sell it to fund the stroker?
Just askin, that block would be a nice high HP build up if you could chip away at it slowly and have it ready when you want to go bigger. _________________ 89 Hatch 408W. It's just a street car.

I'm not keeping any of the short block. In fact I am trading it for a brand new forged 347 short block. You guys can say what you want about it. I know the boss block is a nice piece, but it is going to do better where its going...in a '70 Boss 302. My motor has seen better days. It ran pretty good it just needs another overbore to make it new again. I don't have any $$$ right now and wont anytime soon, so I made the deal for a brand new short block. _________________ 1966 Mustang coupe

Personally I think you made a good decision. You really didn't need the capabilities of that block, and this sounds like a good deal as long as it's assembled well. Plus more power is a great thing _________________ 89 Hatch 408W. It's just a street car.

It is assembled well. It has JE SRP pistons, crower rods, forged crank(not sure of brand), clevite 77 bearings, arp main studs and a girdle. I think that is about as stout as a roller block is going to get. _________________ 1966 Mustang coupe

I think that's a real good deal for you in the long run.
You won't really need a boss block for that car, it's a fun car and the 347 will make it really fun!
I think it was a good choice you made there. _________________

I hope so. I will be curious to see what gains I will have on the dyno next year. I am sure I will feel the difference in "the seat of the pants". _________________ 1966 Mustang coupe

I'm surprised you can feel anything in your seat since Dustin has been pounding on that mud hole for years now _________________
